Pista Aflatoon
The legendary house signature — slow-cooked semolina, mawa, ghee, saffron and pistachio. Cut warm. Served with pride.
House icon · since 1926From a modest sweet shop outside a Bombay mosque to twelve branches across India and the GCC — we still hand-make every Aflatoon, Jalebi and Halwa from the original 1926 family recipes.
It began in 1926, when Sulemanbhai — a young bakery assistant from Poona — opened a tiny sweet shop outside a mosque in Bombay. His son Abdul Gafoor Suleman Usman Mithaiwala guarded the family formulas through partition, prosperity and change.
Today the third generation carries that legacy across India and the GCC — twelve branches strong, but the same brass karahis, the same slow-cooked mawa, the same hands-on technique that made the name a household word.
